BAAL and Chinese Christian Schools invite you to play quizbolw in the NAQT qualifier "The DNA Bowl" on Saturday, 28 February 2009, the 56th anniversary of Watson and Crick's announcement of the DNA double helix structure. This tournament will begin at 1:00pm at Chinese Christian Schools located at 750 Fargo Ave in San Leandro.

This tournament will use NAQT questions and format, with the exception that rounds be untimed and will consist of 20 toss-ups and any earned bonus questions. The top few teams (15% of the field) will be invited to attend NAQT Nationals in May. Teams will participate in 5 rounds of preliminary matches followed by an elimination bracket for the top teams and consolation bracket(s) for the remaining teams if they choose to compete.

Entry fee is $70/team. We strongly urge each team to bring a volunteer to help us run the event on time and efficiently.

Discounts are as follows:
-$20 new school
-$15 per experienced volunteer
-$10 new volunteer
-$10 per buzzer
-$5 per team for early payment (postmarked by 2/24)
